To be honest, there is ONE type of email I hate to get from my list subscribers. It's any message which references the common myths guys have about women.

Spot reducing simply and plainly does not work. When the body burns fat, it is lost throughout every area of the body at the same time. Focusing on one area of the body for exercise may develop better muscle tone in that area, which will make that part of the body appear tighter and more fit, but it will not remove fat from that area. It is important to exercise the whole body, in a well-balanced fashion; this is the best method of reducing weight.



Big distinction... even as a Professional Organizer and I don't pull my refrigerator out to clean behind it every year - hey I've done that maybe once since we moved here. However, I can find important information, and I can find the nail clippers, scissors, keys and batteries that I want to use within a minute. AAAAH. Less mess, less stress... God bless. Fact: You simply put your body into starvation mode, so it holds onto fat in order to preserve your life. That said, it is true that when you don't eat enough calories, your body will eventually break down some stored fat to use as energy. However, when you go off your diet and start to eat normally again, you'll gain all that weight back because your body will believe it is coming out of starvation, and will store fat more effectively than ever. Unfortunately severely restricting calories also results in some muscle loss, as well.

This is not true. Being out in the fresh air will help the sun's rays to dry up a breakout, not make it worse. You should be cautious and limit your exposure to sun light, as the ultra violet rays can be harmful if we expose our skin to them for too long. We call this 'sunburn'. Sunburn can inflame our breakout.

I am sure you heard this when you first went to the doctor during your teenage years. This is another common myth which is unfortunately perpetuated by doctors. What you have to understand is that the doctors are usually just telling you what they have been trained to learn through the American Medical Association. They mean well, but many doctors website do not go that extra step connect dots as to what is causing a certain issue. They merely take symptoms and prescribe a medication to end those symptoms.

Everybody is different and people with a creative flair will need different systems to people who are more logically minded. This can be a challenge to work out, but also a great deal of fun.
